Lee Knoeppel

Lee grew up in the suburbs of New York City with a passion for cooking.  At the age of 18 he dropped out of high school to pursue a career in the restaurant industry.  Lee graduated from ICE: The Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan in 2009 and was classically trained in French Cuisine.  After successful stints in restaurants in NYC and the Hamptons, as well as culinary production work for various Food Network shows, Lee became the executive chef at the age of 24 for the Pridwin Hotel on Shelter Island, NY.  Since then Lee has opened numerous restaurants in New York City, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Connecticut.  He competed as a finalist on ABC’s The Taste season 2 with Anthony Bourdain, and has also been seen on Chopped, Beat Bobby Flay, Midnight Kitchen and Restaurant Start Up.  At the age of 32 Lee is currently the executive chef of Long Acre Tavern in New York City.
